2020 PRISMA Festival cancelled due to COVID-19

Thursday, March 26, 2020

The Pacific Region International Summer Music Association (PRISMA) announces the cancellation of its 2020 Academy and Festival scheduled for June 15-27 in Powell River, British Columbia, Canada. This decision comes after careful monitoring of the COVID-19 pandemic and weeks of consultation with our local and international stakeholders. The safety of our audiences, students, guest artists, staff and community is a top priority and we look forward to the opportunity to welcome you again in 2021.

Tickets will be refunded upon request, but if you are able to donate the value to PRISMA in exchange for a tax receipt it will help us bridge this financially difficult year. Your support is needed more than ever. For more information please click here.

While the festival as you know it cannot proceed this June due to restrictions on international travel and the call for social distancing at this time, we still intend to bring you a selection of exciting digital content that can be enjoyed from the comfort of your home. More information will be available very soon. In the meantime, stay safe and stay tuned!
