The Symphony Cruise brings hundreds of people to Powell River from the Comox Valley to attend a matinee performance by the PRISMA Festival Orchestra. The 2018 Cruise is one you won't want to miss, featuring a tribute to "Diaghilev and the Ballets Russes" featuring R. Strauss' Josephs Legende (Symphonic Fragment), Stravinsky's Le Sacre du Printemps (The Rite of Spring) and the winners of the Concerto Competition, Final Round.

  • -Leave Little River at 10:00 AM, arrive in Powell River at 11:30 AM. Enjoy on-board musical entertainment on BC Ferries' brand new vessel.
  • -Travel by complimentary shuttle to the concert venue and back to the ferry after the concert.
  • -Leave Westview Terminal at 5:15 PM (BC Ferries has added this sailing especially for the Symphony Cruise), arrive in Comox at 6:45 PM.


  • -The ferry from Comox leaves Little River terminal at 10:00 AM on the day of the concert. You will purchase your ticket for passage at the ferry terminal and pay the regular cost. 
  • -It is recommended to get to the terminal well in advance of the sailing, as other Symphony Cruise passengers will also be purchasing their ferry tickets. 
  • -If you are going back to the Island after the concert, the return ferry is at 5:15 PM. BC Ferries has added this sailing especially for the Symphony Cruise.
  • -Check out this List of Powell River Restaurants for things to do before the matinee concert begins at 1:30 pm.
