June 15, Wednesday, 5:30 PM, Willingdon Beach
    Sponsored by Telus

PRISMA on the Beach, the free annual family-friendly community event, showcases the PRISMA Festival Orchestra as well as local musicians, artists, and food vendors at Willingdon Beach. This year's event features a celebration of the Tla'amin Nation's treaty, with a new piece of music produced in collaboration between Tla’amin’s Drew Blaney (Kespahl) and PRISMA’s Composer-in-Residence, Tobin Stokes. Other repertoire includes parts of Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker and Mendelssohns Wedding March. The evening ends with the spectacular Introduction and Wedding Procession from Rimsky-Korsakov's Coq d'Or.

This year there will be an air show again on live music played by the PRISMA Festival Orchestra.
