    PRISMA Guest Artists

    This PRISMA concert is perfect for those with young families, as Sergei Prokofiev’s Peter and the Wolf will be performed with narrator John Silver. The piece relays a story about a young boy, Peter, who goes out to explore the forest and leaves the garden gate open. Some animals escape and are stalked by a wolf from the forest, whom Peter eventually traps and sends to a zoo.

    Selected PRISMA students

    During this exciting concert, ten to twelve qualifying students will compete to win the coveted prize of a week performing with the Moscow Symphony Orchestra in Russia.  Only three of these students will make it to the final round of the concerto competition that will take place during the closing concert on June 28. The stakes are high and the expectations are even higher.

    PRISMA students and guest artists will perform a preview of symphonic and chamber music from the festival at this free, family friendly event. Enjoy a variety of food while perusing displays of art to the euphonic sounds of local musical acts. Bring your own chair or blanket to enjoy the culture and scenery at the beautiful Willingdon Beach.
