    Join us for the (un)official kickoff to the 2018 PRISMA Festival!
    PRISMA and The Laughing Oyster are proud to invite you to an evening of fine dining and musical entertainment on Sunday, June 10. Performances will include PRISMA favourites Edwin Sungpil Kim, Janet Arms and Marc Goldberg – and, of course, maestro Arthur Arnold. As always, you never just know who might show up!
    There will be a silent auction as well. All proceeds support the 2018 PRISMA Festival.

    Ten to 12 qualifying students will compete for the chance to spend a week in Russia performing with the Moscow Symphony Orchestra. Watch the electrifying action as our panel of faculty adjudicators narrows down the competition to a final three. The stakes are high and the expectations are even higher! Don’t miss this free event – our unofficial kickoff to the 2018 PRISMA Festival – featuring the fabulous Edwin Sungpil Kim as accompanist. Finalists will go on to compete at the June 22 and 23 finale concerts in front of a live audience.

    Join us for this FREE, family-friendly community celebration featuring performances by the PRISMA Festival Orchestra and PRISMA Guest Artists.
    For the sixth year in a row, we’ll be showcasing the seaside beauty of Powell River alongside the musical extravaganza that is PRISMA. Bring your blankets and lawn chairs and enjoy an evening of symphonic selections complemented by local food and art vendors, a salmon barbecue and a beer garden. Musical highlights will include works by Vivaldi and Tchaikovsky as well as a special performance of the Harry Potter Suite. Stay tuned for emcee information and other exciting announcements to come!
    Food vendors start selling their offerings at 5:00 pm. Music from 6 to 8 pm.
